“It’s a surreal feeling,” Gay, 22, said. “It’s something I’ve dreamed of my whole life and it’s so amazing. In the moment, it’s just ‘Rope another calf.’ I came into it with the mentality to just proceed at every one of them. These rounds are insane, so I’ve just been goin at ’em.”
