In its 16th edition, the Healthcare Equality Index (HEI) is the national LGBTQ+ benchmarking tool that evaluates healthcare facilities' policies and practices related to the equity and inclusion of their LGBTQ+ patients, visitors and employees. The HEI evaluates nearly 2, healthcare facilities nationwide.

A record healthcare facilities actively participated in the HEI survey.

Keck Medicine of USC earns ‘LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader’ Designation

LOS ANGELES — Keck Medicine of USC hospitals and USC Student Health, part of Keck Medicine, received the ‘LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader’ designation in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Healthcare Equality Index (HEI).  

HEI is the leading national benchmarking survey of health tend facility policies and practices consecrated to the equitable treatment and inclusion of LGBTQ+ patients, visitors and employees. A record 1, health care facilities participated in the HEI survey; only 36% ( facilities) earned ‘LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader’ designation.
